Happy 5th Birthday To Gypsy In The City
If you ever had the chance to meet Ada of Gypsy in the City, you know that she automatically brightens the room. She is super sweet, charismatic and very supportive. It was without hesitation that I knew I had to be there to celebrate a career milestone with her. Its been about a year since I met her at the press box during Uptown Fashion a few seasons ago and since then we have run into each other every time a delightful surprise.
Ada uses a very intimate approach in her blogging style using her personal encounters to engage with her audience and really making a connection. Her website covers topics such as beauty, fashion and philanthropy. A cause being very near and dear to her heart is Suicide, which if you have been a long time follower have learned that her ex-boyfriend passed from such an unfortunate death. But Ada turns negatives into positives by creating awareness and spreading the messages that there is help and you are not alone.
The celebration of Gypsy was a testament of hard work and persistence. Ada a regular latina woman like you and I who just keeps going for it and gets it to. Friends, family and strangers in the sense that they only know Ada via social media were all in attendance to celebrate with her the last 5 years of her accomplishments.
The festivities were hosted at Ella Lounge in the East Village. We toasted with delicious cocktails from Stoli Vodka and ate some yummy homemade finger foods like tea sandwiches, empanadas and a spanish style dessert. The music was perfect and the energy amazing. And to top it off Ada shared with all of us her amazing news.
I got a new job as an Art Dealer in an art gallery – aboard cruise ships! I leave this week to my port of call which is in Sydney, Australia!! Yes, I will still be blogging and all of that good stuff. I promise to explain more in a blog post and video because it is a lot to process.
It was the perfect wat to end the night as guest left the party each person was gifted an amazing swag bag filled with awesome products from Olay, Pantene and Shea Moisture which I can not wait to put to use.
