National Book Lovers Day- Remembering The Books I Grew Up On
On August 9 we celebrate National Book Lovers Day. It immediately brought me back to my childhood days when I would get in trouble because I would be sneakily reading a book during class time. But these books were just so good to put down and had to be finished. Among friends it was necessary to discuss chapters and catch up with one another on different series. I remember every time the Scholastic Reader would be distributed in class I could not wait to get home and convince my mom of the books I had to have. A part of my collection included The Baby Sitters Club, the Goosebumps series, Mary Kate and Ashley and so many more. It was something about getting brand new books that made me so happy. I have always loved reading. There were so many stories to learn about and characters I became obsessed with. Reading these classics you became so many things, and visited many places; its an experience that stays with you forever. Here are some of my absolute favorites growing up:
What were some of your favorite childhood books?
