Portion Your Product Use
At times we think more is better when in fact less is more and the right amount allows the product to work as it should. You never really know how much product you should be using and probably overuse it when not necessary. Here is a helpful guide in portion control for the products you use every day.
Eye cream should be the size of 2 peas – Use one pea size per eye. Use your ring finger to dab do not rub.
Facial Moisturizer think of a cherry tomato. Add an additional cherry tomato dollop for your neck.
For applying serums use a dried cranberry as a reference. You do not want to use to much so that it can absorb into skin and not leave a greasy feel. Many serums have droppers so it is easier to not over apply. 2 drops will do.
Use as much as the size of a quarter for exfoliators. Using too much can irritate your skin.
The size of one strawberry is all you need for your cleanser to rid the skin of pollutants and impurities.
Be very generous with sunscreen, a shot glass full per limb will cover all your important parts.
Use your fingers to apply pomade so that the warmth of your hands can give it better application instead of clumping up. Use a nickel size amount .
Shampoo and conditioner for short hair use 1-2 raspberries for reference of how much to use. Too much shampoo can dry out short strands and too much conditioner can weigh it down.
Shampoo and conditioner for longer hair needs a little more product since hair is older. More conditioner is needed in particular to keep it healthy
Hope this guide is as useful to you as it is for me. Especially for luxe products that are super expensive you do not want to use so much and not allow the product to work correctly.
