Power Hour Lunch Breaks
Lunch breaks are crucial. Yet many people work through lunch or eat at their desk. Not such a good idea. Studies show you are less productive and are likely to crash midday if you don’t get up off your seat and move or give yourself some time to recharge. Some days are busier than other I get that but get in the habit of giving yourself a mental escape. Keep reading for a few ways to keep your brain from getting fried and come back refocused for a more productive afternoon.
1. Get up and Stretch-
Sitting down for long period of hours can cut blood flow. So once an hour for 5 minutes stand up, take a deep breath in, exhale and just stretch for a couple of minutes.
2. Go out for a walk-
Walk around the block of where your office is located. The sun is a natural trigger to help boost your mood. If you can’t make it out take a walk around your office space.
3. Go out for lunch-
Step away from your desk and go grab that lunch special you been dying to try.
4. Catch up on industry news-
5. Book a facial or massage-
This one you may have to plan for but its a great way to indulge and treat yourself and come back to your desk super refreshed.
