The Beauty Smoothie
We all know beauty is skin deep. So to keep a healthy complexion on the outside you have to be sure to cleanse inside. This smoothie is perfect for breakfast, lunch or a midday snack. Smoothies are great meal replacements if you are trying to lose weight as well. Below is one suggestion of what to blend to get a healthy glow. But feel free to use your favorite greens and fruits and swap them out.
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 cup berries (I used ½ cup blueberries + ½ cup blackberries)
¼ cup loosely packed basil
1 tsp coconut oil
Optional add-ins: 2 handfuls of fresh spinach, 1 serving hemp protein or protein powder of choice, dash turmeric, 1 tsp raw honey
Place all ingredients in blender (starting with the almond milk) and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
